Know the morning your Google ranking moves
Rankings move while nobody is looking
A competitor overtakes you on the query that brings in the leads, a new rival appears on page one, a news story about your brand breaks on a Saturday. Checking by hand is slow and patchy, and most rank trackers are built for agencies with a hundred keywords, not a team that cares about ten.
New, dropped and moved, with positions
- Every change, named: results are matched by URL, and each move carries its old and new position.
- Honest about engines: if Bing answered because Google refused, drops and moves are not reported — two engines rank differently, and that is not a change.
- News too: track the news results for your brand, a competitor or a topic.
- Feeds your crawl: new results on a site you already crawl are added to that project, so the next crawl reads them.
An agent’s answer, watched like a table
- A question on a schedule: “List Acme’s plans with their monthly price”, asked every morning.
- Answers as rows: each record followed on its own: added, changed (with both values) or gone.
- Removals you can trust: a record missing from one answer is withheld, and gone only once two answers in a row lack it.
- Into your database: each run’s records written to your database or warehouse, with the pages their values came from.
Told where you work, within the budget you set
- Alerts: email, Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, Mattermost or a signed webhook — and only when something changed.
- Budgets: a monthly cap per monitor, a cap per run for a tracked question, and an estimate of the month before you save.
- Triggers: a change starts work: a changed pricing page can start an agent run that explains it, re-crawl the changed pages, or run a monitor, with cool-downs and daily limits.
- Proposals: the research agent can suggest what to track; nothing is made until someone on your team approves it.
Who uses it
- SEO and growth: the queries that matter, by country, with the morning they move.
- Brand and communications: news results for the company name, the product and the people.
- Product marketing: who ranks for the category, and every competitor’s plans as a tracked question.
- Sales: leadership pages and announcements of target accounts, as a question asked every week.
Frequently asked questions
How does rank tracking work?
Save a search — the query, the country, the language — as a monitor. It runs on its schedule, each run is compared with the last that answered, and you are told which results are new, which dropped and which moved, with their positions.
Does it track ads or answer boxes?
No. It tracks the organic results only, read from the results page — no ads, answer boxes or AI summaries.
How often can it check?
Hourly, daily or weekly. Run now checks at once, whatever the schedule.
What does it cost?
Each run is an ordinary search or agent run, charged as one. A tracked search reads one results page — typically 4 credits on Google, 1 on Bing — so a daily search is about 120 credits a month. The estimate shows the figure before you save, and a monthly cap stops it there.
Can I get alerts in Slack?
Yes — Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat or Mattermost, by email, or as a signed webhook. A run that changed nothing sends nothing.
